The Protector
Part of the 2022 Advent of Lucifer
In Rome on October 5th, 1199, Pope Innocent III called for the Northern Crusades against the pagans, who worshiped soulless animals, trees, green grass, clear water and believed in immortal spirits.
823 years later, Christianity is still insisting upon itself. The fronts may have changed, but the cultural abomination that threatens to wipe out our very species driving the rise of global fascism, is as much an existential threat today as it was to Prussian pagans in the 11th century.
This nearly ubiquitous power in the West is further compounded by the collapse of capitalism as the natural and human resources it exploits are exhausted by “endless growth”, and the environment is degraded by its practices to the point that our water is poisoned with microplastics and industrial runoff, our soils depleted from degenerate agricultural practices, and our air choked with wildfire smoke.
Our neighbors are heavily propagandized into making everything worse for the benefit of a handful of billionaires, our infighting political communities are preoccupied with dead Russian economists, and our religious communities, if you can call them that, are cesspits of grift and artificially self-aggrandizing delusion.
Who the hell is going to keep us safe? Who is going to look out for our interests and advance our life-affirming values in the middle of an imploding death cult?
Being swept along in the tide of tax cattle simply cannot be an option for us. Propaganda has precluded any hope of a working class revolution on any timeline that matters, so we are going to have to look to ourselves if we have any hope of survival or maintaining our precious autonomy in the coming years of fascist coups and the global dispensing with the illusion of democracy. As the oppressors go mask-off, it’s time for us to put our masks on and do what we have to do.
To assume the mantle of Protector is to grow in will – the will to cast off delusion. The will to affect real change. The will to gain, and train, and learn in ways that will enable you to take care of yourself, your family, your sept, and your enclave. The will to take risks for vulnerable people whom no one else is looking out for. It is not enough to style yourself as Adversary; part of the delusion we have to let go is the idea that cheap political capering does anything but waste attention and resources.
The only thing that is going to matter is what levers of power you allow to remain over you, and whether or not you are physically able to prevent the unworthy of asserting their will over yours. Everything else is decoration.
Charging the Sigil
The Protector speaks to our power to protect ourselves and our loved ones. We take up the mantle of Guardian so that we may be safe from those who wish to harm us and the dangers of this world. There is no one coming to help us – we need to be the ones who stand up and protect not only us, but this Earth. We are the Protectors we need. The Protector asks us to be resilient and strong in the face of danger, bending to no one and nothing.
As we devote our time this month to honoring Lucifer, charging our sigil encourages a deeper connection. If this is your first time charging a symbol like this, you can think of it like a moodboard – this sigil represents us as a community and religion. What does this sigil mean to you? What can it represent? Take the time to focus and reflect, meditate on what each of our concepts mean to you and how they can apply to our lives.
For our energy workers, you may charge our sigil by visualizing a bright white light surrounding it. Use breath work to guide this energy into the sigil, knowing that it grows in strength as you do so. You can also focus our themed concepts into the sigil using meditation and our affirmations to program this energy. This will serve to strengthen our sigil for later use in our ritual.
The following incantation may be used as part of your sigil charging, or used as an affirmation:
“I am protected in every way, forevermore.”
Daily Devotion
Meditation and cleansing our souls can be very powerful in keeping us safe from harm. We must have the strength to stand up to that which harms us, so building a protective aura around us can help us be strong enough to face the dangers of this world. Visualize a white light surrounding your body, filling it, and repeat our Protector affirmation. Know that you are safe, and protected. This visualization can be done daily and will build upon each day, growing stronger as you do so.
If you are facing harm in any aspect, take the necessary steps to protect yourself and your loved ones. You deserve safety and security in your life, and removing that which harms us opens us to a world of freedom.
As today is the Full Moon, pour lunar energy into our sigil. You can do this by visualizing the lunar energy as a beam of light down to our sigil or asking the Moon to bless our sigil with its power. We need all the protection we can get, and we must create that protection. Those who share our values shall always be protected and safe.

We encourage you to make your own oracle card for each of our themed days, so that come the end of our Advent, you will have your own Luciferian oracle deck. These cards may be used to give you insight on what you may need to work with in the future.
We recommend using blank playing cards if available, but any kind of art or canvas cards, even lined notecards can be used. Make your drawing or symbol (it doesn’t have to be amazing, only meaningful to you) on one side and on the other write down any key phrases or words or concepts that resonate with the image to you.
