Thomasin : Black Phillip, I conjure thee to speak to me. Speak as thou dost speak to Jonas and Mercy. Dost thou understand my English tongue? Answer me.
Black Phillip : What dost thou want?
Thomasin : What canst thou give?
Black Phillip : Wouldst thou like the taste of butter? A pretty dress? Wouldst thou like to live deliciously?
Thomasin : Yes.

The Hedonist
Part of the 2022 Advent of Lucifer
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. – Revelation 17:4-6
The “fleshly life”. “Living as beasts of the field.” “Man, the animal who walks on two legs instead of four.” In Satanism, much lip service is paid to the pursuit of carnal pleasure, albeit often clumsily. Luciferians may be seen as more stoic, but in reality are just as, if not more apt at curating an exquisite physical experience. Why do we prioritize these hedonistic pleasures?
The simplest explanation is: because we can. We are sensory beings born into bodies capable of a wide range of physical and emotional experiences. As one has evolved to avoid harm, so it stands to reason that one has also evolved to pursue pleasure. Of course, not all pleasures are good for you, and many of them are deleterious when done to excess (or at all), but in healthy moderation, the pursuit of life-affirming pleasure that harms none is both moral and desirable.
While we honor chastity as an extension of body autonomy and choice, so too we honor the choices of ethical promiscuity, The virgin, the sex worker, and the sacred whore are all equally acceptable expressions of one’s will. The sober shall link arms with the indulgent – indulgence only becomes problematic when addiction begins to deprive one of their will.
We look to Babylon as our spiritual forebear, as it was the life-centric hedonism of the Babylonians that was so offensive to the emerging death cult of ancient Judaism. It was against that great city and peoples that so much of Jewish, and then Christian maleficia was directed. It was the embracing of one’s only precious life and pursuing enjoyment on earth that was so threatening to these hateful, natal cults. Much of what would become Christianity was built around the detestation of earthly pleasure, and today Christians still pantomime this ancient propaganda.
Therefore it is good and right to reject this ancient wrong, to defy the jealous and insecure God, to defy his worshippers and deprive them of their will by asserting your own over your body and experience.
Charging the Sigil
The Hedonist speaks to our innate earthly pleasures. We live like those of Babylon – attuning our spirituality to that which we enjoy. We are tasked with loving the life we lead, for our desires are as natural as can be. We do not deny our material self for the sake of those who would deny their natural lives. Our earthly ties allow for a deeper spiritual connection and as we open the gates of the gods, we become like them, creating beautiful, fulfilled lives. Be it wisdom, or pride, or romance that we seek, we hold the keys to a blissful life.
As we devote our time this month to honoring Lucifer, charging our sigil encourages a deeper connection. If this is your first time charging a symbol like this, you can think of it like a moodboard – this sigil represents us as a community and religion. What does this sigil mean to you? What can it represent? Take the time to focus and reflect, meditate on what each of our concepts mean to you and how they can apply to our lives.
For our energy workers, you may charge our sigil by visualizing a bright white light surrounding it. Use breath work to guide this energy into the sigil, knowing that it grows in strength as you do so. You can also focus our themed concepts into the sigil using meditation and our affirmations to program this energy. This will serve to strengthen our sigil for later use in our ritual.
The following incantation may be used as part of your sigil charging, or used as an affirmation:
“Thy earthly pleasures fill our lives with abundant bliss.”
Daily Devotion
The Hedonist inspires us to enjoy our time, however that may be. Finding the things in your life that make you the happiest is what life’s all about. Do something today that makes you happy, find the pleasurable experiences in life that fulfill you and enjoy what time you have here.

Make Your Own
We encourage you to make your own oracle card for each of our themed days, so that come the end of our Advent, you will have your own Luciferian oracle deck. These cards may be used to give you insight on what you may need to work with in the future.
We recommend using blank playing cards if available, but any kind of art or canvas cards, even lined notecards can be used. Make your drawing or symbol (it doesn’t have to be amazing, only meaningful to you) on one side and on the other write down any key phrases or words or concepts that resonate with the image to you.
If you choose to share your result, which we would love to see, you may use the hashtags #luciferiandominion and #adventoflucifer so that we can find them! If you choose to make your oracle deck part of your #Inktober or #Drawloween events, please feel free to use those hashtags and include them in relevant spaces!
Happy creating during this blessed Advent!
